A tribute from almost 1,000 people, including football player Dries Mertens. That was the funeral that 11-year-old Jack Horions received on Saturday morning at Rustpunt funeral home in Hoevenen. But he deserved that. Jack was everyone’s friend. An old soul in a young body who could make everyone laugh, but at the same time sometimes held up a mirror to you. The collective grief in the room was immeasurable. “Our opponents don’t stand a chance anymore, because from now on we play with one extra man!”
