Ravikuningas Evartti washed his favorite favorites in the cold-blooded Nordic King. The greatest Finnish hope, Parvelan Retu, galloped in the first corner in a cramped situation.

The Nordic King, raced on Powerpark’s racetrack, was pre-glued to perhaps the highest-quality cold-blood race of all time. The race became a great match, which ended joyfully with the Finnish celebrations. However, the hero was a bit surprising when Evartti, who was anticipated to be the third strongest card in the Finnish team, won a handsome victory.
Evartti, the rider king of the last two years, has been very successful in his early races, but Nordic King saw it as the first super class performance of the season. The stallion, which raced in the middle stages of the group, finally went straight to an overwhelming victory with a record-breaking time of 19.4a. The profit was paid 50,000 euros.
An important factor for Evart is the hot summer weather. Horse background, coach couple Antti Ojanperä and Jutta Ihalainen as well as the instructor Santtu Raitala, have consistently emphasized that Evart’s body works best in warm weather. The heat that came to Midsummer was conducive to winging Evart into his best flight of the season.
The strongest resistance was provided by the pre-favorite of the race, Norway’s fears Odd Herakles. The favorite who ran at the bow was second in front of Evart’s Kir.
Evart was also partly winged by a change in equipment for the stallions. Raitala said in an interview with the winner of the track, Evart had earballs pulled for the third time in his career.
– The first time it took a relentless shot and the second time it took it (opening its ears). Now one had to think about whether this is the place we are moving to lead, whether to dare to pull them.
– Until then, the probability of success was 50 percent. I pulled my ears open. There is no losing here, Raitala smiled in the winner’s interview.
Big profits and big setbacks
Evart’s career has had a lot of highlights, but also waves. Now the 11-year-old stallion has become seriously ill a couple of times and has had major surgeries, after which the horses are less likely to rise to absolute highs.
The last time Evartti was in danger of death was a year and a half ago, when her stomach had to be opened due to a thunderstorm. The stallion’s rise to renew his trotting kingdom last summer was an almost miraculous accomplishment.
– All the steps that our whole team has experienced with Evart have been absolutely amazing. It is still incredible that a horse is alive and completely incomprehensible that a horse can compete against and beat the world’s tops. It tells us everything about Evart’s capacity and nature, Raitala summed up.
The rivalry between Odd Herakles from Norway, Månlykke AM from Sweden and Parvelan Retu from Finland was announced about Nordic King. The set-up was largely as expected as Odd Herakles opened for the lead and Månlykke AM toured alongside it.
However, Parvela Reto’s race was ruined in the first curve when it galloped from the second pair after the horse was still running.
After his gallop, Parvelan Retu ran almost warm-blooded pace and rose to sixth, but the game was lost in the top places. Behind Evart and Odd Herakles, Välkyn Tuisku, who completed the good contribution of Finnish horses, was third. Månlykke AM was fourth.
