Evan Rachel Wood plays Madonna in “Weird Al” Yankovic’s biopic

Madonna’s “Like A Virgin” once made Alfred Matthew “Weird Al” Yankovic “Like A Surgeon”. It goes without saying that Madonna also gets a place in the biopic of the musician and parodist. She will be played by Evan Rachel Wood, as has now been announced.

“Depraved lifestyle” and “red-hot affairs” await us

The cast of Daniel Radcliffe, who was selected to play the leading role, was also recently expanded to include Rainn Wilson, of ‘The Office’ fame, as well as Julianne Nicholson and Toby Huss. The former is said to be Dr. Embody Demento, the discoverer of Yankovic, the latter will play the musician’s parents.

The film will be titled Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Written by Eric Appel and Yankovic himself, the screenplay will air on The Roku Channel and is set to chronicle Yankovic’s “metereal rise to fame, torrid affairs with celebrities and depraved lifestyle,” according to a press release .

Evan Rachel Wood was recently sued by ex-partner Marilyn Manson after she went public with details of their abusive relationship.
