The role of Eva Jinek on the late evening of RTL 4 is even smaller now that a fourth presenter is added to the talk show pool with Renze Klamer. “Eva is very expensive, and that for part-time!”
Eva Jinek was brought in at RTL 4 as if she would become the permanent face on the late evening. She didn’t even rule out making talk shows for six months in a row. “I am capable of anything, anything. I don’t come here to do my shifts, but to succeed. To make my point, to accomplish something.”
Fierce Eva
Well, more than two years later it looks damned like Eva is just doing shifts on RTL 4. Her vacations are so long that RTL Boulevard at one point even thought she was taking time off to get pregnant and have a child. to give birth. “Maybe they know something we don’t know yet,” the show column speculated.
Eva was furious about that speculation by Bridget Maasland and Rob Goossens. “I couldn’t believe what I saw. That an uninformed person in a gossip program like RTL Boulevard can just say something like that – it would be your job to deliver such shabbiness,” she grumbled. “Those two have been completely disqualified in my view.”
More holidays
Eva’s holidays are going to be even longer, because the late evening of RTL 4 will from now on not be divided over three (Eva Jinek, Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan), but over four presenters (Renze Klamer). And that while Eva earns 1.2 million euros per year at RTL, under a contract that expires at the end of next year.
Where RTL 4 first seemed to aim for Eva as the face of the late evening, she is now just part of a group. “So people can go on holiday if they want,” Albert Verlinde responds in Shownieuws. “They just created a pool so that you are no longer dependent on one person sitting there.”
Expensive pool
That is an expensive pool, notes Evert Sankrediets. “It is an expensive pool, I understand, with Eva among others.”
Albert: “Eva is the most expensive of the bunch and then it’s part-time too. Can you imagine what it would have been like if you had to pay it in full.”
A group of presenters should prevent RTL 4 from suddenly becoming without a latenight face, as happened to NPO 1 in 2019 when Jeroen Pauw and Eva left at the same time.
Paul Witteman
Albert thinks presenters have become very lazy these days. “Where have the times gone when a Paul Witteman worked his way through the mud and sat on TV every night to do a talk show?”
“Everyone is only doing groups, which is good because that means you are no longer dependent on one person, but you also sometimes miss a bit of guidance: who is there tonight?”
