The performance of Nick & Simon in Eva Jinek’s talk show has caused an incredible amount of excitement. Even now it is still talked about here and there. In a private article of no less than two pages, the well-known composer and producer Eddy Ouwens extensively complains about the shortcomings of the talk show host.

Eddy thinks that Eva has made an incredible blunder. “Up to three times I thought: and now comes the question that Nick & Simon have not counted on. The question: ‘What would Jaap Buijs have thought of the breach?’ But that question persisted. I’m almost certain that Eva Jinek would have gotten more out of Nick & Simon with that question than she ultimately succeeded.”
According to Eddy, it is proof that Eva and her editors lack sharpness. “It is incomprehensible that Jaap was not mentioned at all in the interview. Nick & Simon owe a lot to him. It was he who introduced them to the market as a duo sixteen years ago.”

It’s really unbelievable, says Eddy. “Somehow the editors of Eva’s talk show have failed to notice where Nick & Simon’s success began. If you prepare such an interview, I assume that you also dive into the history of the duo and then you will not miss Jaap.”
Eva gave a mediocre interview due to the lack of this question, he thinks. “It was immediately clear that neither of them wanted to show the back of their tongue. Eva Jinek tried to break through the wall that Nick and Simon had built around themselves, but that didn’t work.”
