Shortly after moving to her brand new villa in Abcoude, Eva Jinek found out that her neighbors are quite noisy. “Just a little while longer and I’ll be moaning out the window.”

Immediately after her switch from the NPO to RTL, where she reportedly touches 1.2 million euros per year, Eva Jinek went shopping on Funda. Her brand new semi-detached villa worth 1.5 million euros is now finished, but one of the promises in the sales brochure has already been broken.

bleating sheep

The brochure promised Eva an oasis of calm: “The view of the grazing sheep and cows offers the necessary serenity in a usually hectic household.”

What seems? Those sheep start bleating early in the morning and that doesn’t stop until evening. And you can hear them all the way up to the attic. “Never knew sheep are such talkative individuals!”, says the shocked talk show host on her website.

So Eva’s neighbors are quite noisy. In fact, her backyard looks like a favorite pub full of sheep. “Now that I can observe them for a long time, I can assure you that these guys are genuinely talking to each other, just like us humans.”

There are also boomer sheep among them, according to Eva. “Sometimes I hear friendly chats, sometimes a lonely lament – usually from an older sheep with a robust voice, a real sheep boomer – and quite regularly I hear heated discussions between younger sheep bleating at older sheep.”

“I’m back!”

Fortunately, Eva doesn’t seem to mind very much. In fact, she sometimes hangs out of her attic window for it. “I’m not saying you should make this a podcast or sacrifice precious hours of your life, but now that it’s coming to me, I’m enjoying it immensely.”

“Just a little while longer and I’ll be moaning out the window.”
