Eva Jinek in the breach for Yvonne Coldeweijer: ‘She is often right’

Yvonne Coldeweijer was brutally bashed yesterday in the talk show of Eva Jinek by the Flemish TV Mrs Evi Hanssen. However, she found no support from her hostess: “It often makes sense, doesn’t it?”

Hypocrisy and lies in the celebrities world have been exposed for a year now by Yvonne Coldeweijer. Many people enjoy it, but there is also criticism of her way of working. One of those critics turns out to be the Flemish TV Mrs. Evi Hanssen, who is now one of the sidekicks in Ruud de Wild’s radio show.

little decency

Last night in the talk show of Eva Jinek, Evi really went wild on Yvonne, who was not at the table herself. In fact, it was the subject for which she was a guest. “I think that actually shows very little decency that you do that as a young person,” said the provoked presenter.

Why not? “Because I don’t think you can estimate that you not only touch a person, namely ‘a famous person with a lot of money and you choose to be in the media’, but that you also touch a lot of people there and that I don’t think it really shows maturity. We don’t have that in Flanders. We don’t have paparazzi either.”

Walhalla

Eva is shocked by the revelation: “What a Valhalla! Why don’t we live there yet?”

Evi: “We do have gossip books. They check to see if it’s really true. Perhaps they are still publishing something too quickly for their own liking, but just someone sitting in front of the camera and all the gossip – because that’s it, it’s hot air…”

Not entirely true, Eva argues. After all, Yvonne has played an important role in the disclosure of several disgusting celebrities misconduct, including that of Glennis Grace and that of Lil Kleine.

“It often turned out to be right, Evi, I have to say, huh?”, says Eva.

Leonie ter Braak immediately: “Yes. Yvonne Coldeweijer has often been right in the end.”

Creepy

Evi believes that only journalists should publish about these kinds of matters. “What I find a bit creepy is that you give everyone a little bit of the right to be a journalist and have spies. That we then end up in a society where everyone just clicks and everyone starts accusing each other.”

For the sake of convenience, she completely ignores the fact that major scandals, such as those surrounding The Voice, would never have started rolling without the juice channels. In fact, those juice channels were created precisely because traditional show media such as RTL Boulevard were mainly busy protecting colleagues.

Eva: “This is how it works, sources come forward with information. Those are indeed the spies.”

Evi: “Yes, but is that healthy?”

Empathetic

It seems that Evi just doesn’t like gossiping about public figures. That is allowed, but that is of course something of all times, no matter how she thinks it all. “Maybe I’m also too empathetic that I can’t imagine this as my job, because we’re all human.”

Evi shifts the problem from the misbehaving celebrities to the messenger: “I sometimes think: it should be your father who cheats on your mother and the whole of the Netherlands knows it. Your brother should be on drugs and the whole of the Netherlands knows it. I think she may not be fully mature in that area yet.”

spies

Eva: “I’m still fascinated by the idea that you both have no juice channels and no paparazzi. Or are all Belgians in and in decent? Or are they boring in and in? What is it? It has to be either one!”

A country without juice channels is boring, says Eva. She admits that she is a huge juice guzzler. Evi replies: “No, no, there is gossip and stuff. (…) What she should do is if she does have spies… Then you go to the police and then you report it.”

Political journalist Joost Vullings thinks this is nonsense; After all, the morally reprehensible behavior of celebrities is not always punishable. “Not everything is punishable of course. It can be morally objectionable. (…) Those are things that can be relevant.”

Evi: “I just hope her karma is very pure, because that might hit her back in the face.”

Incidentally, Yvonne has for the first time given an extensive and very candid interview to Blendle celebrity Alexander Klöpping and his sidekick. You can listen to that interview below:
