Striking: Eva Jinek spoke extensively in her talk show about the Flopping of RTL Tonight. Her conversation partner? Marco Louwerens, the ‘director’ of VI. “First Lubach has to leave!”
RTL Tonight’s flopping has to hurt a lot with all involved. Humberto Tan catches all the blows, because he is currently the face of the program. How should it go? Eva Jinek asks it In her talk show To Marco Louwerens, known as the ‘director’ of today Inside. “A very strange dynamic has arisen,” he says.
Smetje on Astrid
For example, Marco points to Astrid Holleeder, one of the trumps of RTL Tonight that nobody is already talking about anymore. “Even then you see: what happens in less than a few days? We found her announcement in Dutch that it could have been a bit less. Then she will be sitting at the table again the next day.”
He continues: “Maybe not so smart, because then half of the Netherlands will already have something like: well, Holleeder, it can all be a bit less. Then the Oracle from Grolloo will also go again, verbally incontinent as he is, say that she had also offered herself at the talk show of Johnny and within a few days she has a blast.”
American way
RTL Tonight has put itself on the market very badly. Initially the guests were announced with glamorous beauty shots. “Yes, then you see an announcement of those people who are a bit on his American. Yes, then it is against it and the viewer looks two, three or four minutes and he has already determined his opinion.”
“You have the Victor Flams of this world and Tina Nijkamp, I think it’s all fine, but after two days they know exactly what is going wrong and how things are going better. A kind of dynamic arises around the program, in which the viewer may not have looked at at all: it will not be anything, let’s sit.”
Tide to turn?
When asked by Eva if it can still be reversed, Marco replies: “I think so I have experienced it often enough. You say in advance that you are not looking at the viewing figures, you first start a few weeks, and there is not a day past and everyone is a bit in the stress. That’s just like that.”
One big chance arises, namely when Arjen Lubach goes on holiday, says Marco. “They have a lead-in with Arjen Lubach and that doesn’t make you very happy. It is also very late. From November Lubach is gone and you have the normal programming again and the smartest person is gone. Then I want to see it.”
Arjen-Exit
If after the exit of Arjen Lubach fails, then all hope is lost, Marco thinks. “Then it must also happen. If it didn’t work yet, then that famous Christmas is always in itself and you never know what happens.”
Table guest Cornald Maas then grumbles about critics who give their opinion so quickly. “Yes, Tina Nijkamp is already half -masted because the viewing figures are disappointing,” the passive pyromaniac brings.
“To your annoyance!”
Jort Kelder is therefore involved. “I was there last week your annoyance, but …”, he begins.
Eva shouts: “Not at all to my annoyance, Jort! What do you say!”
Jort: “I tease you, but what is the success? I have been at that VI a few times and it is fascinating. The audience is very far away, there is actually little atmosphere, Genee is sending apps while the interviews are going on.”
“I think it’s secret … A program like this, you have quite a big scenario … I have the idea that everyone is just going to do something. It is fairly rough. It is exciting in that sense, because unpredictable.”
