Eva Jinek can only stop the ongoing criticism of her person with a glorious TV comeback after the summer, thinks television bobo Fons van Westerloo. “It has to be successful.”
Where Eva Jinek was the celebrated talk show presenter at the NPO and in her first year at RTL, she has been in the corner for some time now where the blows fall. In particular, her behavior during the candle riot in Today Inside has caused her considerable image damage. But even before that, there was already criticism of her extremely long vacations.
Eva’s popularity
Fons van Westerloo, who was once the director of RTL, is not surprised by the massive criticism of Eva. “As soon as negative publicity about the salary of a celebrity comes out, you know that the popularity of that TV personality is in serious trouble,” he writes in his column in De Telegraaf.

grumbling viewers
The viewers are annoyed by this, Fons thinks. “As soon as the viewer realizes that the talent can no longer convert his or her hefty salary into gold for the channel, the grumbling starts.”
Fons points out that Eva is being accused of ‘laziness’ and that the Story has even called her an ‘overpaid diva’. “Admiration for a well-paid smart lady turns to envy. A trend that can only be stopped with a successful comeback on RTL4.”
