Steven Brunswijk was caught last summer by a spy of Yvonne Coldeweijer while kissing a woman other than his own Ayla on the street. The comedian and his wife were forced to share with the outside world that they have an open relationship, in which he can also play with other ladies.

Not your own wife

As yet another celebrity, Steven now has his own book and he was allowed to promote it last night in Eva Jinek’s talk show. She asked him about the tongue incident. “You were on a juice channel, by Yvonne Coldeweijer. You also write about it in your book and that’s why we talk about it. In a video you were kissing a woman and that was not your own wife.”

Steven: “No, that’s right. It is there now.”

Eva to Ayla: “It’s here now. Hello. Later it turned out that you were also standing next to it and that you were looking at it, but that was not what was first seen in this video, and the chaos broke out.”

‘It was not too bad’

Six months later, how does Steven look back on the juice from Yvonne? “It actually went quite well. We just said it like it is. Then it was actually over. We then became a sort of Dr. Phil for people who were stuck in their relationship.”

Eva: “Because you have an open relationship. You had that long before you were married. That was just not in the public eye until this video. That became public because of that and then you became a kind of gurus.”

Asking for money

Steven: “Yes, apparently. Not that we asked for it, but people are sending us messages, “I’m stuck. How did you do this? What do you advise?’ Maybe I should ask for money for it.”

And what does Ayla think of all this? She says: “Of course I was shocked, also because he was of course completely killed. We thought: the best thing is to just be honest with the outside world. We did that and luckily it worked out well.”

Never afraid again

Ayla is nevertheless not very happy that everyone around her found out about her liberal relationship in this way. “I didn’t necessarily want it to be all the way open, but I think it might be good too.”

Eva: “You never have to worry that someone will start filming again, because there is no news anymore. It’s just known.”
