Eurozone retail sales were flat in May. Revenues stagnated at the level of the previous month, as the European statistical office Eurostat announced on Thursday in Luxembourg. Economists, on the other hand, had expected an increase of 0.2 percent. Sales development had already remained unchanged in April after sales had fallen in the two previous months.
Year-on-year, total retail sales fell 2.9 percent in May, slightly more than average analysts had expected. (dpa)
