mvery few hours to Eurovision 2023 live from Liverpool. All hope for Italy are placed in Marco Mengonicompeting (although he just doesn’t like the term) with Two liveswinner of the last edition of the festival San Remo. We’re all rooting for him, but what do the statistics and the bookmakers say about him and the other 36 participants? Who are the artists given for winners?
Eurovision 2023: bookmakers’ favourites
Punters usually always get us. Just think of 2021, when they had predicted the triumph of our Måneskin. And not only them, since they also nailed France’s second place with Barbara Pravi.
Until last March the bookies’ shares gave as winners Norway, followed by Spain and Ukraine. Predictions that recently are changed in unanimous favor of Loreenpop stars competing for the Sweden and already winner of Eurovision in 2012 (with the song Euphoria).
Who is Loreen?
Singer, dancer, pianist and producerLorine Zineb Nora Talhaoui – born in Stockholm 16 October 1983 by Moroccan immigrants of Berber origin – will present Tattoos, perfect song for Eurovision and already announced success. Even in the rankings Spotify where it has been firmly in first place for weeks.
Behind him, the bookmakers put Finland as the possible winner with the colorful rapper Käärijä and its wild Cha-cha-cha. while theUkraine – winner last year with the Kalush Orchestra – is quoted as third possible winner. Thanks to the strength of the song Heart of Steel sung by the electro duo Tvorchi.
To close the top 5 we find Norway with the Italian-Swedish singer – she was born and raised in Liguria – Alexandra. Followed by Spainrepresented by Blanca Paloma and the song Eaea. Bringing up the rear for bettors instead the Romanian Theodor Andrei while the Piqued Jacks, an Italian band competing for San MarinoI’m in third last place.
With a ninth place, Marco Mengoni seems to have little chance of winning. Nevertheless Two lives is located in second place in the Spotify chart of the most played Eurovision Songs.
