European Photography 2023: in Reggio Emilia until 11 June

ANDEurope Matters: Visions of a Troubled Identity is the leitmotiv of European photography 2023a widespread event throughout the city which demonstrates once again how the eye of a photographer knows how to grasp and transmit the swirling changes of the multicultural and multiethnic reality in which we live, inviting the viewer not to stop at a first reading of the image.

Many exhibitions scheduled in the various venues (of different durations), such as Güle Güle – Goodbyein Turkish, with shots by Jean-Marc Caimi & Valentina Piccinni that tell the important social changes in that country or Parallel Eyes by Apulian Alessia Rollo, to (re)discover the ancestral rites of our south with unpublished images and reworkings of famous shots.

The historical exhibition of this edition is Stabine Weiss. A life as a photographer, dedicated to one of the most important representatives of the French humanist photographic movement. Not to be missed, the fascinating reflection on nature and trees One foot in Eden. Luigi Ghirri and other gazes.
