Italy continues its march with full points and without lost sets, also allowing itself a little turnover. Against the modest Switzerland coached by Mario Motta, Lavia and his companions (in front of the blue partner Simone Anzani recovering from a heart operation and the fencing world champion Tommaso Marini) did not have great difficulties in bringing home the match. De Giorgi chooses for the evening Giannelli-Romanò, Lavia-Michieletto in the band, Sanguinetti-Mosca in the center and free Balaso. First set with Romanò immediately hot assisted by Michieletto. Lavia struggles a little more in attack but the spiker takes on the weight of receiving with two-thirds of the balls passing over his arms. The Azzurri struggled more in the second set. Concentration drops and the Swiss take advantage of it to stay attached to the set until the end. Ulrich is the most effective while on the blue field Lavia grows with 6 points and 45% in attack. but Romanò also passes regularly. Italy returns to the field more determined and rockets off in the third (5-1) and closes the match 25-15 without suffering.
