European cycling championships: gold in the jr. mixed relay time trial

In Emmen, the comeback of the girls led by Federica Venturelli was decisive: silver for Germany, bronze for France

On the second day of the European Cycling Championships which are taking place in the province of Drenthe, Holland, the second gold arrives for Italy after that of Federica Venturelli in the jr time trial on Wednesday. In fact, in the jr mixed time relay, the Azzurri confirmed last year’s title by winning over the 38.4 km of Emmen with a time of 48’14”, an average of 47.7. Luca Giaimi, Andrea Bessega and Andrea Montagner competed among the men, handing over in fifth position to Eleonora La Bella, Alice Toniolli and Federica Venturelli: the latter dragged her teammates to a comeback which was worth the gold. Silver to Germany at 25 seconds, bronze to France at 42″.
