I really don’t think short-term success is as important in any country as it is in Turkey. Whether that’s with the national team or in the club. Plus the expectations are so unrealistic that it’s funny. I really enjoy following Turkey and I also enjoy watching the Süper Lig. But when I see my friends suddenly betting on Champions League winners Gala or Fener etc. when they reach the Champions League, it’s very funny 
But what I think is best is that they really mean it 100% seriously
