In the second heat of the Conference League, AZ will play against SP Tre Penne from San Marino or FK Tuzla City from Bosnia-Herzegovina. That is what the draw that has just taken place has shown.
The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday 21 July and AZ will in any case play out. The return will be played in Alkmaar a week later on Thursday 28 July. To qualify for the main tournament of the Conference League, AZ has to get through three preliminary rounds.
Last year, AZ finished in the last sixteen in the third European tournament. Then the adventure against Bodø/Glimt ended. AZ lost the away match 2-1 after a late questionable penalty and at home the Alkmaarders did not go further than a 2-2 draw after extra time.
