Roompot and Landal made hun fusieplannen in June last year because of that. The two bedrijven zijn naar own zeggen erg complement air. Zo is Landal eerder acttief in Noord- en Centraal-Europa, terwijl Roompot sea court is op Midden- en Zuid-Europa. Ook op het vlak van hun accomodaties full ze elkaar aan. Na de overname “zal de organisatie het most diverse en aantrekkelijkste pan-Europese aanbod aan vacant gangers can aanbieden”, klonk het toen.
Landal GreenParks was now owned by the Britse Awaze, which is a separate entity from the Amerikaanse investeringsmaatschappij Platinum Equity. Roompot is in the hands of KKR, eveneens a investeringsmaatschappij from VS.
Landal and Roompot are seeded with 300 parks and 32,000 accommodations in eleven countries. The twee groepen set up seeds for 5,000 mensen tewerk.
