Europa League top Arsenal-PSV is postponed

The Europa League match Arsenal-PSV, which was scheduled for Thursday, has been postponed. This was announced by the European football association UEFA on Monday afternoon.

Last weekend it seemed that the Arsenal-PSV match would be played, but according to the national authorities in Great Britain, insufficient police personnel can be deployed because of the funeral service of the British Queen Elizabeth in London.

It is not yet known to which date Arsenal-PSV will be moved.

FK Bodø/Glimt
PSV started the group stage of the Europa League last week with a 1-1 draw at home against the Norwegian FK Bodø/Glimt. Arsenal, the big favorite in the group, beat FC Zurich in Switzerland 2-1.

PSV’s next Europa League match is scheduled for Thursday, October 6, against FC Zurich. The remaining matches are on Thursday, October 13 (FC Zurich at home), Thursday, October 27 (Arsenal at home) and Thursday, November 3 (Bodø/Glimt away).

Feyenoord
The cancellation of the tough away game against Arsenal offers PSV the opportunity to prepare longer for Sunday’s top match in the Eredivisie against number two Feyenoord.
