In the Europa League and the Conference League, the teams for the playoff draw have been determined.
What and how is drawn?
Unlike the Champions League, the Europa League and Europa Conference League will not immediately continue with the round of 16 in 2024. Playoffs will be drawn in which other participants in the round of 16 games will be determined in addition to the group winners who have already qualified.
The runners-up in the Europa League meet the third-placed team in the Champions League in the first and second leg. Similarly, in the playoffs for the round of 16, the runners-up in the Conference League meet third-placed teams from the Europa League.
The runners-up in the group are seeded and have home advantage in the second leg against the third place in the higher competition.
When and where does the draw take place?
Following the draw for the Champions League, the EL and ECL playoffs will be drawn on Monday (December 18, 2023) from 1 p.m. at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon.
The round of 16 duels in both competitions will then be drawn on February 23rd.

Which teams are safe in the round of 16?
Group winners are already safely in the round of 16 in both EL and ECL. Before the last matchday, there are three group winners in the EL, including Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen, and there are two teams in the ECL.

Which restrictions there is?
UEFA writes on its homepage that it will only announce the details of the draw on Monday. What is certain, however, is that teams from the same country are not allowed to play against each other in the playoffs.
