The basketball players from Alba Berlin are still waiting for their first victory in the Euroleague. The Berliners also lost their fourth game of the season in the premier class at AS Monaco on Friday evening with 75:86 (40:47).

Alba remains second to last in the table with no points. The best Berlin throwers were Matt Thomas with 17 and Sterling Brown with 15 points.

Coach Israel Gonzalez’s team got off to a promising start with a successful three-point throw. But Monaco had a quick answer and went on a 12-0 run. And Alba was running behind again. They simply missed too many throws at the start.

But the Berliners improved and even took the lead again at the beginning of the second quarter through Brown (21:20). But it was again short-lived and would remain the last. Alba stayed with it until the break, but whenever Monaco needed it, they stepped it up and were able to pull away again.

Even after the break, Alba scored the first points from distance. But again the hosts countered coldly. By the middle of the third quarter the deficit had grown to 16 points (46:62). The guests fought until the end, but were no longer able to put Monaco in serious danger.

Alba continues on Sunday, October 22nd (5 p.m.), in the Bundesliga home game against Rasta Vechta.
