EuroCup: Desolate half time! ratiopharm Ulm fails in the round of 16

The German basketball champion ratiopharm Ulm failed in the round of 16 of the EuroCup.

Coach Anton Gavel’s team had to admit defeat against the Spanish club Joventut Badalona in their own hall after a desolate first half with 79:88 (32:50). The hosts’ top scorer was Trevion Williams with 20 points.

This time Ulm had the worse end in the knockout game; two years ago the Swabians were able to surprisingly knock the four-time European Cup winners from Catalonia out of the competition in the round of the best 16.

Last year, Ulm reached the EuroCup semi-finals and crowned its season with the German championship.
