Euro dollar exchange rate: That’s why the euro starts the week with slight losses

The euro started an eventful week on Monday with slight price losses.

In the morning, the common currency euro cost 1.0840 US dollars, slightly less than before the weekend. The European Central Bank (ECB) set the reference rate slightly higher on Friday afternoon at $1.0871.

After a quiet start to the week in terms of data, numerous important events are on the agenda for the current week. In the Eurozone Growth data for the final quarter of 2023 and new inflation data are expected. Both are crucial for the ECB’s future course.
