Euphoria becomes the most searched series for fashion inspiration

According to a study by the British comparison platform Uswitch, the popular TV series Euphoria is the most popular source of inspiration for make-up and fashion looks worldwide.

An analysis of Google searches by Uswitch over the past 12 months revealed that the series generated over 1.3 million combined searches searching for make-up and fashion looks from the series.

The HBO series has garnered a sizable following since it launched in 2019. The second season aired in January 2022. The third season has already been confirmed – production is already underway. The Gen Z-centric story arc follows teenagers as they struggle through the ups and downs of high school life, often confronting situations that viewers relate to through personal experiences.

Since the start of the second season, the series has already had a major impact on the fashion world thanks to its extraordinary styling. With a total of 519,500 searches, she tops annual fashion searches on Google, followed by Peaky Blinders, Emily in Paris, Friends and Stranger Things.

With 824,000 annual searches, Euphoria is also the most influential series in terms of make-up – the protagonists wear bold colors, face jewels and dramatic styles. After Euphoria, the series Friends, WandaVision, Bridgerton and Stranger Things follow in the beauty category.

Individual characters have also exerted their own influence. Maddy Perez, played by Alexa Demie, emerged as the most influential character with a total of 221,000 annual searches. She’s also the only Euphoria character to rank among Uswitch’s top ten most inspirational television characters of all time for fashion and makeup: ninth for fashion and fourth for beauty.
