Teachers, children, nurses, doctors and civil servants in war-torn Ukraine desperately need laptops, tablets and smartphones. The European Commission is therefore calling on citizens and businesses in the EU to donate new and well-functioning second-hand devices that may be lying around unused at home or in the office. The initiative has been dubbed Laptops for Ukraine.
