EU foreign ministers reached an agreement in Brussels on Monday on a second military aid package for Ukraine. It concerns a support package worth 500 million euros, which is financed from the European Peace Facility.

Minister Hoekstra: ‘I welcome this agreement. The unprecedented Russian aggression has a huge impact on European security. This requires us to act quickly. Ukraine deserves our maximum support.’

The agreement comes less than a month after a first aid package worth 500 million euros was approved. As with the first package, 450 million euros can be spent on weapons. The remaining 50 million euros is for other resources, such as equipment, medical facilities and fuel.
