Last Wednesday, the European Union bought a record amount of €689 million worth of gas from Russia. The Brussels think tank Bruegel reports this on Friday based on its own calculations. The EU continues to buy Russian gas, while at the same time trying to paralyze the Russian economy with sanctions.
