Eterna appoints new management

The shirt specialist Eterna Mode GmbH has appointed Fritz Terbuyken as CEO.

Terbuyken will take up this task at the beginning of next year, Eterna announced on Friday. He succeeds Henning Gerbaulet, who is “leaving the company at his own request” at the end of the year.

“We are convinced that Fritz Terbuyken, with his international experience in managing companies, has the best prerequisites to increase the desirability of the Etenra brand and thus achieve the desired sales and earnings growth,” says the main shareholder Quadriga Capital has been supported by investor Robus Capital Management since the Eterna restructuring in September 2021.

Terbuyken was previously a board member of the ANWR Group trading cooperation, where he served as head of goods for 15 years. He also held various management positions in the shoe industry.

“We now have an extremely experienced general manager as CEO who has a proven track record in the area of strategic development and internationalization of companies,” continued Quadriga. “Fritz Terbuyken is also an excellent analyst who has extensive market acceptance and a strong commercial understanding.”

Terbuyken will receive support from Dirk Heper, who has been appointed to the role of Chief Sales Officer (CSO). He comes from the Herford clothing group Ahlers, where he has headed the Pierre Cardin brand as managing director since July 2022. Previously, he worked for the clothing manufacturer Olymp Bezner KG in Bietigheim-Bissingen for over 20 years. Since October 2017, he has been managing director of Bezner GmbH, responsible for product, design and sales of the brands Olymp, Olymp Signature, Marvelis and all private label activities.

Terbuyken and Heper are now tasked with ensuring that the digital transformation and Eterna’s “leading position” in the shirts and blouses market is further expanded.
