EssilorLuxottica and Michael Kors extend eyewear licensing partnership

The eyewear manufacturer EssilorLuxottica will continue to develop, produce and distribute the eyewear collections of the Michael Kors brand, which belongs to the US fashion group Capri Holdings Limited, in the coming years.

On Wednesday, EssilorLuxottica announced that the licensing partnership between the two companies, which has existed since 2015, has been extended early. The new agreement begins on January 1, 2025 and has a term of five years. It also includes the option for a further five-year extension.

Francesco Milleri, Chairman and CEO of EssilorLuxottica, was pleased to continue the partnership: “We are proud of the work we have done together with Michael Kors over the past decade,” he said in a statement. “With this step, EssilorLuxottica was able to further strengthen its collaboration with one of the world’s most relevant luxury groups.”
