Essi Unkuri was seriously injured in Survivors

In the last episode of Survivors, we saw a rather surprising tribal council, when Essi Unkuri was sent home. Before the vote, it still looked like there would be a loser Jasmine Yildizbut it happened otherwise.

Reached by Iltalehti, the miss admits that she was not prepared for relegation.

– It came as a complete surprise to me.

– Of course, it was sad that it ended at that point. It was quite a competition, Essi says.

He thinks that the reason for his fall has to do with previous alliances. A close ally of Ess, Julia Korpinenwas in another tribe, so the missus was considered unreliable in uniting tribes.

Would you have turned your back on your tribesmen in reunification?

– Yes, that would probably have happened. If we had an agreement with Julia from the beginning, then I would have turned back to that sled, Essi replies.

Getting hurt on set

Survivors Finland is definitely not a summer camp, as the contestants have to survive on meager food and little sleep in the intense heat.

During the trip, Ess got injured in the prize race, when the competitors had to move a rotating log.

– I hurt my wrist and side. The wrist could not be moved at one point. The whole wrist was swollen and rotten, Essi describes.

He was given a course of antibiotics, which made him feel better. Despite the adversity, according to her own words, Missi could have lasted even longer in the race.

The scars left home as souvenirs.

– There must be some battle scars, he laughs.

The winner of the survivors will receive a hefty prize pot of 30,000 euros. Another 11 people known from the public are taking part in the competition. Previously, Viivi Vaattovaara, Markus Pöyhönen, Joalin Loukamaa and Heidi Suomi have dropped out of the program.
