Hong Kong-listed clothing retailer Esprit is teaming up with Berlin-based streetwear pioneer Highsnobiety for a tour of Europe that highlights creatives.
Esprit wants to present itself more internationally again. That’s why the company moved its global headquarters from Ratingen to New York at the beginning of the year and its European headquarters to Amsterdam, where the brand celebrated the launch of ‘Fundom’ with Highsnobiety last week. The event at the Kalverstraat store marked the start of a six-city tour in which “creative communities and die-hard fans express their obsessions through the lens of Esprit’s bold, fun language,” Esprit said.
Archive items and the brand’s core products will play an important role. In Amsterdam, a tracksuit took center stage, tied to the Dutch rave culture of the 90s and early 2000s. Fittingly, the week also saw the Amsterdam Dance Event, a series of electronic music events that turned the entire city into a party.
The journey of Esprit and Highsnobiety continues to the home of Highsnobiety, Esprit explained to FashionUnited. However, where things will go after that and what will happen in Berlin has not yet been announced.
