Clothing retailer Esprit Holdings Ltd. now relies on personnel continuity at the top of the group.

On Wednesday, the company said William Eui Won Pak had been appointed permanent CEO on March 1. Previously, the 42-year-old had only been listed as interim CEO. Pak will remain the Group’s Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Esprit said.

Chairwoman Christin Su Yi Chiu’s husband, who previously had a career in international finance, was appointed COO of Esprit in September last year. A few weeks later he was promoted to interim CEO after Mark Daley left the company after just ten months.

A coming and going at Esprit

In the past few months, the clothing supplier, which has been in crisis for years, has had a remarkably high level of staff turnover. Like Daley, Yung Ting Wan, who was responsible for product development, left the company after less than a year, after which Sang Langill took over the post of chief product officer. In addition, Wolfgang Schlangmann, the former head of Asia at S.Oliver, and former police commissioner Bradley Wright were appointed to the management board. They currently form the quartet of Executive Directors at Esprit along with Pak and Chiu.
