eSports: Navi confidently triumphs at the CS:GO Blast Spring Final

Natus Vincere won the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament Blast Premier Spring Final.

In a less exciting final, the Ukrainian organization beat Team Vitality 2-0 (16:8; 16:5) and secured their first title of the year.

“It means we’re still a team that fights for and can win every trophy,” said Navi star Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliv in an interview after the game. “We did a good job with the slow preparation for a new player. We played good CS especially against FaZe.”

Despite the player change: Navi handles FaZe

Prior to the tournament, Navi benched announcer Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov and redistributed his role as announcer internally. With Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev stepping in for the time being, the team reacted well to the change of players and had already given the major winner FaZe Clan no chance in the quarterfinals.

Opponent Vitality was in better shape again after a less than satisfactory performance. In the semi-finals, the Danish-French line-up against G2 Esports got revenge for a group-stage defeat and made it into the first final of the year.

Blast Premier Spring: Finale in under two hours

However, there was never any tension in the final, as Navi was already dominant on both maps in the first half.

In the end, Vitality was not able to overcome the class difference, with which Navi was able to win a convincing title and should travel to Germany as one of the favorites for the IEM Cologne in July.
