eSports: 9Pandas wins Dreamleague group stage

With a 2-0 win over beastcoast, 9Pandas secured the top spot in Group B of the Dota 2 Dreamleague. With a total of four victories, the Serbian team is strengthened in a group stage with many draws going into the next segment of the tournament.

“Obviously we’re happy with the result, but the teams in Group A are good too,” said Matvey “MieRo” Vasyunin in an interview after the game. “We will prepare for them and show our best game.”

9Pandas lost just one match, against double Major winner Gaimin Gladiators. The team around the German Erik “tOfu” Engel was only able to win one more game and ended the first group phase in second place.

In Group A, Team Liquid was eliminated from the tournament earlier. The Western European Dota Pro Circuit winner only won his last match against TSM. The otherwise three draw series and three defeats were not enough for the next part of the tournament. Aydin “Insania” Sarkohi tweeted an apology and insisted the team would try to fix their issues before the Bali Major.
