On Thursday, firefighters rescued a calf from a ditch with water at a farm in Neerkant in the municipality of Deurne. The farm is located on the Koeweideweg.
Three calves had escaped from a pasture. One of the calves ended up in the ditch and had no place to go. The fire brigade had to be involved.
Firefighters and the farmer got the animal out of the ditch together. The three calves are temporarily housed together in a stable.
