Several people noticed the coincidence that the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Sweden could also be used to celebrate ABBA’s 50th anniversary of the ESC. And some now believe that it could all have been a set-up.
Claims are circulating on Twitter that the jury deliberately rated singer Loreen well in order to be able to celebrate ABBA’s 50th anniversary of ESC in Sweden.
That the #ESC With a Swedish competition leader, an incomprehensible jury evaluation ends up in Sweden on the occasion of Abba’s 50th anniversary is definitely just a big coincidence…. #Eurovision

50 years after ABBA’s victory, the ESC will take place in Sweden next year.
Nice. NICE.
Of course, the professional jury did not have that in mind.#Eurovision2023— MissDreamless93 🇺🇦 (@dreamless93) May 14, 2023
Maybe they wanted the ESC 2024 anyway in Sweden for 50 years of Abba.
If only one had to say. Then you could simply save yourself the whole farce.

In the wake of Sweden’s victory, some doubted the usefulness of the jury voting.
It is already being whispered that Sweden was given the win because next year is Abba’s 50th anniversary. This jury voting is terrible 😣 There were much better songs

But by no means everyone believes the conspiracy theory:
Now the ESC community is saying that Sweden bribed the jury to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s victory in their own country.
Eurovision fans are just fucking *mental*

It is unclear whether the organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest will comment on the bizarre claims. For now, Loreen can look forward to her second win at the ESC. So far, only Johnny Logan has managed to do this.
