When he saw that I was much older and younger than him, he attacked me with a knife. My pregnant wife and 2-year-old son were also with me, I wanted to protect them. Noticing that I was younger and bigger than him, he paused and pulled out his knife and tried to approach me. From then on, people around me intervened and acted in anger. “People with good intentions prevented the situation and physically intervened in the attack. Who knows what would have happened if they had not intervened. The worst part was that I had my pregnant wife and 2-year-old son with me. Therefore, when dealing with the person in front of me, I had to make sure of their safety at the same time,” he said.

Regarding the incident, where Karşıyaka Sports Club announced that necessary initiatives were taken, İzmir police reached the driver of the vehicle from the plate in the photo shared by McCollum on social media. McCollum, who was asked whether he had made a complaint about the driver whose statement was taken, through his lawyer, did not file a complaint. It was learned that the other party did not file a complaint after McCollum’s discussion, as he shared the license plate of his vehicle and his photo openly on social media.
