The Dancing with the Stars program, which started in September, experienced a change when Mikko Leppilampi left the presenter behind. He was replaced by actor Ernest Lawson, who hosts the show’s 15th season together with Vappu Pimiä.
Lawson reveals what it was like to fill Leppilammi’s iconic presenter’s boots at the invited guest event for Huvituttako revue.
– I immediately made it clear to myself that I don’t even try to fill them, but I take these slightly smaller sneakers next to the huge boots, which I then jump into, Lawson reveals with a laugh.
With his comment, he refers to the Nike sneakers he is wearing. At the same time, he says that becoming a presenter was a natural transition in the program.

There have been dances on autumn Sundays several times already, and Lawson has been able to show his skills as the host of the popular program. According to the feedback he received personally, he has convinced the viewers.
– I have only received positive feedback, which is by no means a given in these jobs, the delighted actor says.
– I’m really happy that the TTK fans, who have been watching this for dozens of years, have accepted me as their own and a part of this program so effortlessly, he adds with a smile.
The actor still feels incredible that he was chosen as the successor to Leppilamme’s washing machine. The program is watched by many Finns and it is one of the biggest entertainment productions in Finland.
– Yes, I would be lying if I said that I dared to dream about hosting such a great, wonderful and big program. Musta is incredibly cool every Sunday to be part of that entertainment machine as a small crumb, Lawson reveals.
