The Norwegian magazine VG made a mistake with artificial intelligence.
PDO
– Photographer David Yarrow unique photos have been taken by a football player Erling Braut from Haaland (23), who was shot by a billionaire Arne Fredlyn on a property in Lysaker.
That’s what the Norwegian read on Monday In VG magazine’s Haaland story.
The sentence in question was found in the summary placed at the top of the story, which the artificial intelligence had extracted from the actual story. However, the artificial intelligence had made an embarrassing translation error in the summary.
Haaland had by no means been shot (shot), but the photographer had taken photos (shot) about the Norwegian superstar, but the AI couldn’t translate the word correctly.
VG’s head of sports editorial Frode Buanes sorry for the mistake.
– I have to apologize to Erling Braut Haaland. Although Haaland almost weekly tears and shoots to pieces opponents’ defenses in England, the intention was not to kill him, Buanes stated to the Medier24 website.
According to Buanes, journalists should always check the writings of artificial intelligence in VG, but in this case it was not done carefully enough.
– This shows that for now people always have to supervise robots, Buanes assures.
