Erling Haaland named England Player of the Year!



The English Football Writers’ Association (FWA) has named the Norwegian star of the Premier League team Manchester City, Erling Haaland, the player of the year. According to the FWA statement, 22-year-old Haaland, who received 82 percent of the votes, was awarded the player of the year, beating Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.


Reaching 35 goals in the Premier League and breaking the record for the most goals scored in a season, Haaland scored 51 goals in all lanes this season as his team fought for the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League titles.


Chelsea striker Sam Kerr also won the female player of the year award.
