Erling Haaland made a wild record – Will anyone stop this Norwegian?

Erling Haaland set a new Premier League goalscoring record.

Erling Haaland needed only 30 matches to set a new Premier League goal record. PDO

Erling Haaland would set a new record. The Norwegian striker completed Manchester City’s second goal as the Sky Blues returned to the top of the league with a 3-0 win over West Ham.

Haaland’s balance in league games now shows 35, which means he passed both Andy Cole that by Alan Shearer (both with 34 goals in the season). The England striker who set the record in the 90s played in an era when there were 22 teams in the league.

Cole needed 40 games for his record (in the 1993–94 season) and Shearer a full 42 (1994–95). Now there are fewer teams (20), so there are only 38 rounds.

However, Haaland didn’t even need that many. City’s victory on Wednesday was the 33rd of the season and only the 31st match for the striker himself.

The record hit came in the 70th minute of the match, when he had just entered the field Danny Ings lost the ball in midfield. Jack Grealish started a counter-attack and put a perfectly sized vertical pass to Haaland.

The Norwegian jumped a couple of steps away from the Hammers defense and coolly lifted Tyyne over the oncoming goalkeeper by Lukasz Fabiański.

The match will be remembered only and only for Haaland’s historic full hit. Of course, the winning goal is recorded To Nathan Akéand was responsible for the final numbers Phil Foden.

In Wednesday’s second match, Liverpool beat Fulham 1–0 Mo Salah’s hard
