Relief at BVB: Erling Haaland expects a quick return to the pitch after his injury. He also commented on his spicy interview after the Freiburg game.
“It looks good. I’m already training very well again,” said Haaland in an interview with the TV channel Sky on Wednesday and predicted: “I’ll be back soon.” This means that the 21-year-old could be available again in the top game against Bayer Leverkusen on February 6th.

So far, Haaland has been missing from his team twice this season. During these mandatory breaks, he missed a total of six league games, three Champions League games and the DFB Cup match against FC Ingolstadt. BVB lost four of these ten games without the exceptional striker. In the remaining 20 games of the season, Haaland scored 23 times in all competitions and prepared six goals. Haaland made it 1-0 against Hoffenheim.
The BVB star also spoke about his interview after the game against SC Freiburg (5: 1) on the “Viaplay” streaming platform, which is moderated by the former Norwegian soccer player Jan Age Fjörtoft.
There he said: “I felt it was time to say something. What was said was said and we move on.” After the Freiburg game
