Singer Erika Vikman, 29, released a personal update on Soma in which she says she has panic disorder.
Vikman performed last Sunday on a cruise called Goom when the gig was briefly interrupted. He left the stage in the middle of the song, but returned after a while. At the time, he told the audience the reason for the departure and now he is also telling his followers On Instagram:

– I’ve been battling panic disorder for a few years now. There are scenes in stressful situations, sometimes unfortunately also on stage. The scene is always a crushing and scary experience for myself, but so far I’ve been able to gather myself really fast and keep performing when I get one at a gig.
No power to fear
Vikman wants to be open to his audience and also believes it will alleviate panic disorder.
– I wanted to share this with you because I am not allowed to give power to fear and start avoiding situations where it can come. I believe I can only ease my situation by being open to my audience. Hiding and shame would probably only make the situation worse. I know I’m not the only one suffering from panic symptoms. Many of you can certainly identify, he continues.
