Erik Ziengs becomes the new chairman of ONL. He succeeds Hans Biesheuvel, who after ten years thinks it is time for someone else to take charge of the business association. The choice fell on the former Drenthe MP.
Ziengs served on behalf of the VVD in the House of Representatives for eleven years until March 2021, where he mainly focused on SMEs, entrepreneurship and reducing the administrative burden. The latter is still high on ONL’s agenda, the newspaper knows. Until his membership in the Chamber, Ziengs was a self-employed entrepreneur.
Biesheuvel announced earlier today that he will leave as chairman of the business association that he founded with Mirjam Bink in October 2013, effective December 1.
