Erik Van Looy proud of ‘The Alzheimer Case’ remake: "I asked 1 million dollars. Turns out they wanted to pay for that”

“Of course I am very proud of this.” Erik Van Looy (59) was delighted yesterday when he saw the trailer of ‘Memory’, the American remake of his ‘De Zaak Alzheimer’. At the end of the film, the Antwerp resident gets an honorable mention. After nineteen years of waiting, the result can be admired in the halls from the end of April. “With the proceeds I can buy a small car. No electric model, because that will be too expensive,” laughs Van Looy.
