Erik ten Hag feels confidence from new owner Manchester United: ‘They want to work with me’ | Foreign football

Erik ten Hag says the new owners of Manchester United are keen to work with him. The trainer said this in the run-up to the match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

“They want to work with me and I want to work with them. We have conversations and meetings, so we’ll see. But now I’m mainly concerned with the competitions,” says Ten Hag.

Jim Ratcliffe, the boss of oil giant INEOS, has 25 percent of the shares acquired by United. He will get involved in the football affairs at the club. Dave Brailsford, the man who is also manager of the INEOS cycling team, is the club’s new director.

Ten Hag is having a tough season with United. The team is seventh in the Premier League and has been eliminated from the Champions League. The Dutchman is therefore under a lot of pressure every now and then. Manchester United plays away to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening. It is the last game of the year for both teams.
