Erik Kulstad is the new head coach of Finnish biathlon

A Norwegian has been chosen as the new head coach of the Finnish biathlon team Erik Kulstad.

Most recently, Kulstad has worked for the Chinese biathlon team. The agreement with Finland is for 1 + 3 years, and the main goal is the 2026 Milan Olympics.

He works as a working couple and sports coach at Kulstad Aki Moilanen.

In the Chinese team, Kulstad worked as head coaches Ole Einar Björndalenin and Daria Domrachevan as a helping hand.

– I am very grateful and motivated for the opportunity to lead the Finnish Biathlon Team. In my previous job, I learned from the world’s best biathlon experts.

– I look forward to putting into practice what I have learned and what coaching I believe in myself. In my work, I am also able to take advantage of the lessons I have learned from being a biathlete myself, Kulstad said in a statement from the Biathlon Association.
