Erik Dijkstra is not at all sad that Margriet van der Linden has disappeared from the tube. According to him, it is right that her talk show M has been taken off the tube. “She was out of shape.”
Margriet van der Linden announced almost two months ago that she would stop with her talk show M. The very last episode was already the next day and, like all other episodes, it scored very badly. Although the presenter claimed to have resigned herself, Omroep MAX boss Jan Slagter has heard otherwise.
Erik sneezes
According to critics, it is obvious: Margriet has simply been taken off the tube. And that is more than right, according to Op1 fame Erik Dijkstra.
The Weekend asks Erik: “Talkshow M by Margriet van der Linden has been taken off the tube, do you think that is justified?”
The presenter then says: “Yes. It’s always a bit ugly to say something about colleagues, but they weren’t in great shape last season.”

Margriet must have sensed that she was simply doing a bad job, Erik thinks. “You often know in your gut whether criticism is justified or not,” he explains.
He himself has that too. “If you’ve made something that you’re happy with, it doesn’t do much for me. If I’ve made something of which I already think: this could have been better, then I also find it painful to hear that of course.”
Favorite Op1 duo
Erik is currently still active as a substitute presenter at Op1. Who is his favorite duo? “Carrie ten Napel and Charles Groenhuijsen. No, not because they are a crowd favorite. I don’t know Charles very well, but I say that because of all the people I know on TV, Carrie ten Napel is really one of the nicest.”
According to Erik, many TV stars are real bitches. “People on TV are often not very nice, very preoccupied with themselves. Carrie is truly one of the nicest people I know in the TV world. When I stopped as a regular presenter with Op1, she sent me a very sweet message. I really like it when people do that, people don’t do that very often.”
Khalid & Sophie
At the time of talk show M, the talk show Khalid & Sophie can currently be seen, but that is also a ratings drama. Rob Goossens points out in his Veronica column that the program has been given an expensive new decor.
Rob: “A good starting position, but it doesn’t lead to success. If Khalid or Sophie are on the tube, NPO 11 shows a dip in the ratings. Will we see them again after the summer?”
