Erica Meiland thinks Harry Human is not nice: ‘Look, he lives there!’

Erica Meiland thinks it is very unkind what star broker Harry Mens calls about her family in the media every time. “Look, that’s where he lives!” says the TV star in front of Jaïr Ferwerda’s camera.

Jaïr Ferwerda visited Erica Meiland at home in Noordwijk yesterday, because they went together to flyer for the local political party she supports. “It’s still for sale, yes. Still,” she says about her home. “We have just dropped two hundred thousand, so it has become very attractive. It’s kind of a bargain, yes.”

‘Harry is not nice’

A few days before the Meilandjes dropped two tons in asking price, star broker Harry Mens called out that the family does not understand real estate. “Because according to Harry Mens it was a bit too expensive?” Jaïr asks Erica.

Erica then: “Yes, that’s right, but Harry Mens doesn’t see very well anymore. No no no. He lives in that white building. I don’t know why he says all those weird things, but it’s not nice.”

White building

The white building that Erica points to is the Residence Roozen, developed by Harry himself. He bought a piece of land in Noordwijk aan Zee to build six apartments at 1.6 million each.

A salient detail: that white building was recently mentioned by Story boss Guido den Aantrekker as the reason why the neighborhood where the Meilandjes live is not so attractive at all. “If you take a look around you see that there is some kind of white apartment building, so it is very well photographed,” he said of their Funda ad.

Islam

Erica was also briefly asked by Jaïr about her controversial statements about Islam. She described women in burqas as penguins. “Are you going to propagate that here in Noordwijk as well?” said the reporter from Jinek.

She replied: “No, because Islam is not very present here in Noordwijk, so that’s not really what it’s about.”
