It can only be a sign: Erica Meiland and Geert Wilders not only celebrated their birthday on the same day yesterday, but are also exactly the same age.
Erica and Martien Meiland are the only A-stars in the Netherlands who say they have PVV sympathies. On top of that, Erica has political ambitions. And now it appears that Erica is also exactly the same age as party leader Geert Wilders. Yesterday they congratulated each other on that happy fact.
‘Congratulations!’
It is September 6, 1963 when both Erica Meiland and Geert Wilders see the light of day. She in Hengelo, he in Venlo. Almost six decades later, they are about the same in life. They are daily abhorring Islam. But that’s not the only thing they have in common.
Their shared birthday was brought to the attention of Erica yesterday. “Congratulations, Gert! We were born on the same day in the same year :)”, she tweeted to Geert.
Geert then: “Ah how nice, congratulations to you too, dear Erica! ”
PVV fans praise Erica
Erica appears to fall very well with voters of the PVV. She is inundated with congratulations and congratulations. “Congratulations to you too Erica ???”, says one Marja for example. And Nick: “Congratulations ???.”
Some people make the strangest connections. For example, Marion notes that Eva Jinek’s son also has a birthday on September 6. What that has to do with it, however, is completely unclear.
Other celebrities who were born on September 6, such as Prince Claus, Willibrord Frequin and Patricia Paay’s sister, are not mentioned by anyone.
On the electoral list?
It is not the first time that Erica and Geert have contact. In May they shared their annoyance about a video of praying Muslim men. The two are very much on the same page in that regard. At the beginning of last year, Erica even revealed that she used to think about working for the PVV.
Will that still happen? Erica is of course already a bit of the Fleur Agema of SBS 6 and a switch to The Hague will not surprise anyone now that Chateau Meiland is on its last legs.
